|CISB's Indoor Air Quality|
CISB is proud to use Pureliving's air filtration systems to ensure our indoor air quality meets US EPA standards.
We have four monitors posted throughout our CISB campus to ensure our indoor air quality is safe. The 'Indoor Air Quality' number you see on our main page represents an average of those four monitors. We will update these numbers twice every school day. Once mid-morning (approx. 9:30am) and once again early-afternoon (approx. 1:30pm).
The 'Outdoor Air Quality' number is taken from the US Embassy which is very close to our downtown campus.
Pureliving uses a 'Mass Concentration' index instead of AQI because it more closely correlates to WHO and US EPA health standards. For more information on this index versus AQI or API, please refer to the information below. You will also find more information regarding the type of equipment we use at CISB.
