Scholarship Program

MERIT SCHOLARSHIP - (G6-G12)

CISB Merit Scholarship program is intended to support students (Grade 6-12) who show academic promise and make contributions to the whole school community, and are deserving of financial assistance.

Criteria:
      1. Positive attitude and work ethic
      2. Contribution to the school, friends, class
      3. Strong academics
      4. Skills and talents

Nomination Committee: Grade level (G5 – 11) teachers will be meet, review nominations and select one student.

Scholarship Committee will meet on June 19th to confirm all nominations. Parents/guardians will receive a letter from the school to advise if a scholarship grant has been given to their child(ren).

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (G9-11)

The CISB Academic Scholarship program is intended to support gifted high school students (Entering grades 9-12) who show much academic promise and make contributions to the whole school community and may be in need of financial assistance.

Scholarship decisions will be made by a Scholarship Committee appointed by the school and will be based on academic excellence, as well as social contributions to the whole school community and the global community.

Students who have been awarded the scholarships and bursaries are required to pay for the full school year tuition fees at the start of the school year.

Scholarship scale:

Middle Years Program (Entering Grades 9-11)
Total of 56 marks out of 56 marks: 100% deduction on tuition fees
Minimum 55 marks out of 56 marks: 50% deduction on tuition fees
Minimum 52 marks out of 56 marks: 25% deduction on tuition fees
Minimum 46 marks out of 56 marks: 20% deduction on tuition fees

Diploma Program/New Brunswick Credit Program (Entering Grade 12)
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.65 or higher: 100% deduction on tuition fees
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.3 or higher: 50% deduction on tuition fees
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher: 25% deduction on tuition fees
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher: 20% deduction on tuition fees

The application deadline is June 12, 2017.
