Accrediated by the New Brunswick Department of Education in Canada, the Canadian International School of Beijing offers to its students internationally recognized Canadian curriculum.
The New Brunswick (Canada) curriculum that is used is recognized universally for its quality, breadth and depth. It is an outcomes-based system that ensures all students attain the required knowledge and skills before graduation. In the early years, this program provides an emphasis on basic skills, knowledge and attitudes that students will need for later success. As the program moves into Middle School, the subject areas broaden to provide students with experiences in more curriculum areas and to introduce new interests. In High School, the program begins to narrow once again as we prepare students to enter post secondary studies.
Canadian education ensures that all subjects are taught by teachers, trained from recognized universities, with relevant classroom experience. The teachers maintain the same high standards that would be expected by the Ministry of Education in Canada. The educational programs and teaching methodologies are supported and reviewed by officials from Canada.
CISB is an International Baccalaureate world school authorized to offer the Primary Years (IB PYP), Middle Years (IB MYP) and Diploma Programs (IBDP) of studies. Teachers in all three programs have received additional professional development in preparation for instruction.
