On behalf of Canadian International School of Beijing (CIS), it is with great pleasure that I invite you to become part of our school community. In September 2006 CIS began welcoming multi-national students and parents to our campus in the heart of Beijing. The CIS student body now represents more than 30 nationalities.
CIS was officially created on January 29, 2005, at a signing ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in the presence of the Right Honourable Paul Martin, then Prime Minister of Canada, and Wen Jiabao, Premier of China. The CIS founding agreement was one of 10 state-level agreements recognized and witnessed by both governments. With the tremendous support provided by multiple government agencies, including the Beijing Service Bureau for Diplomatic Missions, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Education of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada, CIS was officially established.
Our main focus is to serve and provide children from the diplomatic and expatriate communities from toddler to high school with the highest education standard possible, in an environment suited to healthy and well-rounded growth.
Students at CIS benefit from and broaden their knowledge by learning through cutting-edge technology, high-quality music, arts, mathematics, and science programs as well as through our partnerships with world recognized organizations such as UNESCO.
CIS is accredited by the Department of Education of the Province of New Brunswick Canada. The Canadian transcripts and diplomas issued by CIS will be recognized internationally.
Our professional staff provides our students with a quality education at CIS. Visit our school where you will be warmly welcomed by our team. Everyone at CIS has one goal, the same goal shared by you: "THE BEST FOR OUR CHILDREN"
